This is a “choice” blog.  Meaning you can write about whatever you want.  It just has to be at least 200-250 words.  Any topic is fine as long as it is something that is important to you.

I ALWAYS WANT TO KNOW ABOUT WHAT IS I WANT AND WHAT IS MY GOAL. I BORN IN 1989. I PASSED MANY MANY CHOICE AND CHANCE. I READ MANY BOOKS, WHEN I STUDIED IN MIDDLE SCHOOL. THOSE BOOKS LET ME GET MANY IDEAS AND KNOW SO MUCH THINGS. BUT I FEEL SO VAST AND HAZY. UNTIL I VISIT SOMEONE, I THINK I FOUND MY GOAL. EVERY TIME, WHEN I HAVE SOME PROBLEM, I GIVE A REASON ABOUT SOMEONE TO SUPPORT MYSELF. I KNOW THAT IS SO CRAZY. BUT I STILL USE IT AGAIN AND AGAIN.

In the last few weeks of the school year we will be exploring a different form of publishing, self publishing, specifically zines.  For this blog I want you to do two things.

1. Look up the definition of Zine (use either a dictionary service or wikipedia).  Answer the question: What is a zine?

2. Go to the website  http://microcosmpublishing.com/ and look for examples of zines.  Find two zines that you would be interested in reading.  Tell me what they are and why they look interesting to you.

The front page looks so interesting, and it will attract others to look at it, and know what is the inside talking about.  Also, the name Greenwoman will make other  confuse and want to know deep about it. Because the name will not make you understand what is it. The second I found is Broken Pencil #41 by Hal Nedziecki, coming to you from Toronto, Canada, since 1995, Broken Pencil is a magazine devoted exclusively to underground culture and the independent arts. A mix of the Utne Reader, an underground Reader’s Digest, and Factsheet5, Broken Pencil reviews the best zines, books, websites, videos,

what is your initial reaction to this video? what does this video say about racism and the effects it can have on people who experience racism?

i think on the video was about the brown-eye children, they are can not with the blue-eye children play together live together or study together. And the teacher teach the brown-eye children about the discrimination. And ask some about the discrimination question for the children. teach them brown-eye people, and blue-eye people different. and  i think they perents needs to teach they child how to respect to other people.  this is my opinion

April is Child Abuse Prevention Month.  What can be done to prevent child abuse?

April is Child Abuse Prevention Month, I never know that. i think the april  is the hight number for the child abuse prevention month. every đay will have the 4children die, and a result of child abuuse. in the united stater for the each year will have 36.7%of women in prison and 14.4& of the men in prison. is so hight number for the big country. sometime i fell the child was so pity. and every year will have some child die in they perent. is it so scared of me. i propose the perent do not do something to Abuse child.  i always thinks that parents would ignore their children and abuse their children, i thinks the parents need to treat and respect the child. Sometime parents would abuse their children because of their pressure from their jobs or  have something make them angry. so the parents come back home watch up the child, then they will vent out their feeling to their son.I think the better way to prevent child abused is parents need to talk more with their children. Try to understand more about their children and they would not do anything to children.

Watch the clip from “A Girl Like Me” (it can also be found on www.youtube.com).  Why do the children  choose one baby as the good baby and one as the bad baby?  Where did they learn this?  How do you think the children view themselves?  How will this affect their level of self respect and self love when they get older?  How does  society and the world we live in affect the reactions of the children?  What does it say about our society?  (At least 250 words)

A Girl Like Me tells the racist. When the children choose the doll, they would choose the white one not the black because they think that the white one is more beautiful and they think the black one is ugly. As a child, the way to defend anything is looking at their outside.  I think most chilren would learn this from their family and all the things around them. Most family would have racist, then they would talk about that and children would learn that from their parents or relatives. I think every children view themselves are different, they would look about the skin color, and the language they speak. So when they see other have different skin color, they would think they are different and they will not communicate. And when they speak different language, it will effect them to talk to other. So when they get older, this problem will become bigger and more serious. They will care about the racism too much, so different skin color and different language will effect them meet more friends and know more culture about other people’s. Because children live in this society, they will learn all the things from this society. Even they don’t understand a lot in this society when they are still young. When they get older, they will understand more and more, then they will still believe that the things they heard and they know from the racist. Then they will keep going to do that. This say about our society is racism is a big problem and it’s not effect the adult only, it will effect the whole society. And let’s the learn the wrong things.
